There are many unexpected things and emotional events taking place in life when hope is the last chance for a person. It is visually depicted as an image of light on a background of darkness. The inspiration for the painting has come from the author's desk lamp. Its bright beam is surrounded by obscure dark bluish smoke, where the light element is like an exit hatch. The story is about withstanding and the opportunities irrespective of what may happen.
